TheWabit Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Sorry guys - first jump into KPI. Normal people start slow. I threw 4 in my system without having any experience with them. I have a 6 button controlling the load in the family room. It is on a Fanlinc so I have set the "Fanlinc-Light to a 2 second ramp rate and the KPI to a 2 second ramp rate. But when I turn it on or off, it comes on/off immediately - no ramping. What am I forgetting to set?
stusviews Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 If the KPL is a controller for the FanLinc, then the load (red) wire at the KPL should be capped. All control should be via scenes.Once that's done, it doesn't matter what the ramp rate of the KPL load button is. The On-level and ramp rate for the FanLinc light is controlled by setting the appropriate rates in the scene for the FanLinc light, not the KPL.
TheWabit Posted January 5, 2016 Author Posted January 5, 2016 Stu - Totally forgot about changing the scene. BUT after that change, it ramps up the way I have it set using the console but still does not work correctly at the KPI.
stusviews Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Open the scene, select the FanLinc light, adjust the On-level and ramp rate for the FanLinc light; select the KPL controller button, adjust the On-level and ramp rate for the FanLinc light.
TheWabit Posted January 5, 2016 Author Posted January 5, 2016 Got it! Dang - there are so many ramp rate and on levels. I did miss one of those. Thanks!
