It completes the circuit from the thermocouple to the gas valve. Obviously we're talking about millivolts which are generated from the pilot light so I believe the easiest way to integrate this switch into the Insteon systme is to use a relay coupled to a SWR. Does Smarthome sell this relay or a SWR that completes a circuit independent of the load? Should I find something at Radio Shack and just wire it up in the box?

There is a cheaper 1 input 1 output version coming out soon (that means whenever it gets here in Smarthome time). As far as home control stuff goes, Insteon is a cheap solution....but when you get right down to it 50 bucks is still 50 bucks! I had an idea to make my own IOLinc and someday I will give it a try. A few relays, some solder and a keypadlinc should do the trick! My problem is the way I solder it will likely be 3 or 4 keypadlincs, several bandaids and a roll of solder before I get done screwing them up! Maybe I'll just buy the EZIO once they are stable with ISY! Thanks Ulrick. I think at that price I'll just use that SWR I had lying around and buy a relay. Thanks for the help!
