mikeyg01
I view the status of my home automation system on my phone throughout the day. I mainly use the UD Ajax interface because it seem easier to see status at a glance. I group items...Lights, doors & windows, motion detectors and then the last group has stuff that I don't want to see...Heartbeat, Battery, Dusk-Dawn info. Is there any way that i can hide those as i really don't want to see them? Worst case is to delete them, which I don't want to do because I may need those info one day. Thx,
elvisimprsntr
Prefix those item names with a "~". Undocumented, but well known method.
mikeyg01
Thx, I tried it and it didn't work. I did it with and without a space before the name. Any suggestions?

mikeyg01
It worked!! Thank you so much. I actually put the "~" in front of the folder and it hides it. I don't know if I am pushing it now....but I noticed that when I switch to the "Home Automation Dashboard" interface the folder is not hidden. It still shows with the ~ in front of the name of the folder. Any thoughts...and thanks again!
elvisimprsntr
The "~" trick only works with the AJAX interface, not the HA Dashboard. Some third party mobile apps also use the "~" to hide devices, e.g. eKeypad Pro. Mobilinc HD allows the user to enter a filter field which you can set to "~" to acomplish the same thing. Both are excellent mobile apps and worth the price. They just present the information in different ways.
