Scene names truncated with space to spare

The scene names are being truncated, with white space going unused. Any way to allow more of the scene name to be seen?

 

It gets really hard to tell with some scenes:

Going from a Galaxy 4 Mini to a 12.2" Android screen it seems that the font for some parts are variable and screen size responsive and other text fonts (names) are not.

 

Lots of room is there for the 12.2" screen but on my 4-5" screen the names write all over the rest of the gadgets making it hard to read. Most of my deveice and program names are truncated on the smaller monitor screen.

My screenshots are on a Nexus 6P. Very high resolution. However, the font size is good - I'm just surprised the text is truncated with so much space to spare.

remnants of old initial code.  I've found better ways to do this.  Just need to get around to it.
