I just got the ISY Portal setup and Alexa is now able to control some of my devices.  However Alexa is not able to correctly close the garage door.  I can say "open the garage door" and that works but "close the garage door" does not.  If I say "open the garage door" again it will actually close the door.

 

My guess is because the relay is open On for about 2 seconds and then is turned off again because it is acting like the push button.  So "close" to Alexa is the Off state and the relay is already in that state so it does nothing.

I thought using a program instead of linking the relay directly to Alexa would work but Alexa just doesnt understand "close <this thingy>".

The I/O Linc response depends on the momentary mode you have set. Only Momentary C allows a different response to on or off.
