Legrand Adorne Switch and Z-Wave Micro Module Pairing?

The only difficulty I see is the unknown depth of the Wave switch.

That's correct. I was thinking about that. Since I am in the process of building a house, I will do this as per this website:

"A 4-in. junction box solves most box-fill problems. Throw on a single- or double-gang plaster ring that comes flush with the drywall, and you’ve got a box that’s hard to overfill."

http://www.finehomebuilding.com/2001/12/01/more-wires-need-bigger-boxes

Plastter covers are available - http://www.alliedmoulded.com/catalog/residential-products/electrical-box-covers-plaster-rings/4-square-junction-box-plaster-rings-and-covers/

SO I am assuming that this will work, correct?

A 2-gang (4" sq) box solves many problems and I recommend it for all installations, but it doesn't solve depth problems. OTOH, you can install deep boxes or place the micro controller in the ceiling box. You won't be able to control brightness from the switch/hand wave, but you will from the ISY or any devices linked to micro conrtoller.

Z-Wave if RF only. You may get better communication with an Insteon Micro Module.

Hi,

Since I like the idea of wave switch so I am planning to use Legrand WaveSwitch (http://www.legrand.us/adorne/products/switches/aswv1532w2.aspx) and pair it with Aeon Z-wave In-Wall Micro controller (https://www.amazon.com/Aeon-Labs-DSC26103-ZWUS-Wall-Controller/dp/B008VWBNAU).

Do you think there will be an issue on this pairing?

Thanks.

Did you manage to get this to work?
