Chris Jahn Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Michael, can you help me understand, I have Multisensor 6 installed in the room, so which thermostat I need to chose that can pick up temperature from multisensor 6, as I want put thermostat in boiler room, and all HVAC control will be from IPAD or so. i need find solution for control HVAC with only multisensor or any another zwave sensor in the room. Any ideas will be so much appreciated. Thank you I'm not sure I understand the question; are you saying you want the thermostat setpoints to be triggered using the temperature reported by the MultiSensor rather than the thermostat itself? I don't know if there are Z-Wave thermostats that support this. It might be tricky, but you may be able to use ISY programs to do it.

He probably doesn't even need a thermostat then, an IOLinc attached to his boiler would probably be enough then. I definitely do NOT recommend this control mechanism, but it would probably work. (no thermostat for this room) so what can be solution to run that system, I think that system should be already somewhere, why I need put thermostat in the room if I have sensor, etc. please advise I'm not sure I understand the question; are you saying you want the thermostat setpoints to be triggered using the temperature reported by the MultiSensor rather than the thermostat itself? Chris Jahn Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 ..., why I need put thermostat in the room if I have sensor, etc. please advise Hi gapon0, When turning on heat/cool using setpoints, displaying the temperature, etc. a thermostat normally uses the temperature it itself senses rather than a temperature reading from a different device such as a multisensor 6. Some others on the forum may be able to answer, but I'm not aware of any Z-Wave thermostats out there that support using a different device for temperature readings. As I mentioned before, you may be able to use a series of ISY programs to do this. For example, you may use a program to turn on heat when the multisensor 6 temperature goes below 68 degrees.

Ideal that use thermostat install in boiler room , that will control HVAC, but took room temperature from remote sensor. I saw some where post about it cant find it
