reakhavok Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Hello all, Ive got an EZIO2x4 that is controlling 2 garage doors. The setup works perfectly. However as ive seen somewhere on this forum, the relays 3 and 4 are not being used and fluctuate from off to on randomly. Can i just go into the ISY99 and right click on relay 3 & 4 and choose remove? will this cause any problems with the rest of the EZIO functions? Thanks, Gregg
Sub-Routine Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Gregg, no you can't remove part of a device. Why don't you connect the inputs to ground through, IIRC, a 1K resistor? Rand
reakhavok Posted January 13, 2009 Author Posted January 13, 2009 Thanks for the reply Sub-Routine. There's no reason i can't use the 1k resistor. I was just being lazy and looking for an easy way out. Now does doing nothing cause any issues? Is it possible to leave those 3 & 4 relays bouncing between on and off or does this cause interferece or excess traffic etc?? Thanks
Sub-Routine Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 From what I see on the SimplehomeNet site I believe relays 3&4 would have to be configured before they broadcast Insteon commands based on changes. Rand
