asbril Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Yesterday I tried to change primary control from ISY to a Mini Mote, encountered problems and did a Dongle factory reset to switch primary control back to ISY. I did a ISY restore from a recent backup but that did not work very well either. I then did a Remove and Include of all of my (30+) Zwave devices. That worked for all but 2 of my devices that 'refuse' to be removed or included. I looked all over the internet (and in this forum) for a way to perform a factory reset of these 2 GE light switches but was not able to find anything. In short my question is whether there is a way to re-include these 2 light switches that worked perfectly before my dongle factory reset.
Chris Jahn Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Hi Asbril, If you cannot exclude or include the devices into the network, I'm not sure, but I think you can factory reset them by pulling out the little airgap button at the bottom of the switch. You may want to do a google search online for the Z-Wave details of your switch.
asbril Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 Chris (and for everyone's benefit), That 'trick' seemed to have worked on one of the two GE switches and now I was able to re-include the switch to my ISY. It did not work for the other GE switch. However it came to me that I might have accidentally included that second switch to the mini mote. I excluded the switch from the mini mote and was able to re-include the last remaining switch to my ISY. I never intended to include that switch to the mini mote but possibly when I was 'playing' with the mini mote someone in my household activated that particular switch just when I had put the mini mote in inclusion protocol. Anyway, all is back to normal. Thanks for your assistance.
Chris Jahn Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Hi Asbril, Glad to hear you managed to get those devices back into your network.
