Allow your screen contents to be copied and pasted with ctrl C/V

I am trying to build a spreadsheet with a coherent and understandable table that lets me record what device and button number does what in my system. I find the existing screens to be quite difficult for keeping track of what device/button is doing what to whom. It causes a lot of essentially unnecessary effort and confusion to make otherwise simple connections. No equivalent function appears to be present in UD tools. There are too many names potentially used inside the overall screens for me to simply understand what I have done.

 

Starting to build a table, I am immediately confronted by the inability to copy and paste a field from a UD screen to the spreadsheet. This massively inhibits the simple transfer of information because I have to type the text of every single item from UD screen to the spreadsheet.

 

Allowing the fairly common ability to copy pieces of screen text would be of significant help.

An option, but maybe not the one you're looking for, is to use the "note" field for each device to record your functions.

 

You can then print out a topology report from the ISY that will display all your notes including device and scene details
