MikeD Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Does anyone know if the ZRTSI can be used to assign blinds to other channels once the limits are set? Presently I have two blinds that work together in a group and a (single channel) Telis 1 remote. I am pretty sure a remote is needed to set the limits of a new blind(s) before anything else is done. I do not know if the limits can be set by my single channel Telis, then use the ZRTSI to set the new blind(s) to operate on a different channel. (Than the channel used by my Telis 1) Do I need to purchase another remote, this time a multi-channel remote, to do this? I just ordered three more blinds that I wish to operate in a group different from my first group. If I need a multi-channel remote I would like to get one on order. Thanks!
MikeD Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Hi Stu, I have read your posts just now and in the past however I still am not sure of one item I am asking. Do I need to obtain a multi-channel control to set my new blinds to another channel? - Or - Can the limits be set with my current 1 channel transmitter, on channel 1, then have the ZRTSI control the new blinds on channel 2 if I add this channel to the blinds by way of the ZRTSI?
stusviews Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Setting the limits is for that particular motor only. Assigning a motor to a channel/button allow that channel to control the motor. A motor can be assigned to any number of channels and a channel can control any number of motors. Reread post #16. You can have a separate remote for each motor. You can have several remotes for the same motor. The channel belongs to the remote, not the motor.
