Tapatalk Notification Count - Won't go away or reset?

Those using the TapaTalk smart application has anyone been seeing the notification count go up but never resets and goes away after you have viewed literally every updated post?

Here is a image capture of what I see every day which just keeps going up! At first it struck me funny but weeks later its not funny anymore because I never know if there are new updates to a post. Also, sometimes but not always I will see multiple push update badges show up.

The phone will go ding, ding, ding, dozens of times and when I look its simply one post?!?!

What say you all?

Even though I have turned off notification 5 or 6 time Tapatalk keeps turning it back on with new versions or otherwise.

I am just about to dump it and forget about it. It worked well until the code monkey decided to put in more advertising techniques.

It has become garbage and a PITA.

Go into ios settings, notifications, then turn off notifications and badges. Done. But like Larry says the updates will ask to turn them back on.

Edit: Poor grammer

If I turn off the notification I will never know there is a new posting / reply. I submitted a bug report to the software developers lets see if they can identify what's going on. I also have to agree the last few updates seem like complete bloatware and no real value in terms of features.
