JimDC
I'd like to add my ST hub to my ISY994i (firmware & UI are 4.5.4) but I'm getting the following error: "z-wave network failed to security include your new device. please exclude the device and try including it again." The error logs show the following: Mon 12/26/2016 05:57:38 PM : Exchanging data with secure Z-Wave device 2 of type 2.2.1 Mon 12/26/2016 05:57:38 PM : Adding secure Z-Wave device Mon 12/26/2016 05:57:38 PM : [ZWAVE-TX ] ... MWareman
I don't know about this hub, but the zwave spec generally requires that devices be no more than a few inches apart, up to a couple of feet max for the key exchange part of secure enrollment. 18' is way too far I believe. JimDC
Thanks MWareman, I moved them next to each other and it still didn't work. I was able to join the ISY to the ST z-wave network using ISY's learn mode, but ISY only sees one of my Z-Wave devices (GE outlet). The rest either don't appear or appear as 'uninitialized'. Back to experimenting.... Link to comment
MWareman
Are the others also secure devices? Zwave does not support sharing secure devices between controllers - so only non-secure devices will properly initialize. You will have to disjoin secure devices from their current controller and join them to the ISY if you want the ISY to control and monitor them. Link to comment
JimDC
In fact my Fibaro Motion Sensor is a secure device, so that would explain it. Thanks again! Link to comment
Boomer50BMG
I was really hoping to do this as well. I need it more to add Zigbee support. If you cannot add another controller, how do you "Shift Primary to another Controller" and back? Any rate, I will have to work with the API for ST. Link to comment
