n8huntsman Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 I noticed that oddly when I tell something to turn on, it's functioning like I said off. If I say 100% it does turn on however. My first thought was to log into the alexa app. In addition to my devices, I noticed the following: cin av (Offline) Cinema avant (device) Forget locker (Offline) Locker (device) Forget test (Offline) test (device) Forget second test (Offline) toggle hallway (program) Forget vest (Offline) Vestibule (device) Forget lavabo (Offline) CuisineLavabo (device) Forget sdb (Offline) Salle de bain (device) Forget douche (Offline) Douche (device) Forget fireplace (Offline) Vestibule.Scn (scene) Forget hhhh (Offline) Cuisine (device) Forget balcon (Offline) Balcon (device) Forget sfam (Offline) Salle familiale (device) Forget neon (Offline) Garage Neon (device) Forget first floor (Offline) Thermostat RC (thermostat) Forget upper hallway light (Offline) Palier etage (device) Forget hallway (Offline) Palier etage (device) Forget kitchen (Offline) Palier etage (device) Forget ilot (Offline) CuisineIlot (device) Forget garage lights (Offline) Garage Light (device) Forget sad (Offline) Luminaire SAD (device) Forget entree (Offline) Entree (device) Forget cin arr (Offline) Cinema arriere (device) Forget garage door (Offline) Chambre maitre (device) Forget living room (Offline) Thermostat Etage (thermostat) Forget second floor (Offline) Thermostat Etage (thermostat) Forget deck (Offline) Deck (device) Forget Quote
n8huntsman Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 I issued a discover devices command. It only found my devices. The other devices remained, albeit "offline." I manually deleted them to see if they come back. Any ideas how this could happen? Very concerned and not sure what to do or what to check to get to the bottom of this. Quote
stusviews Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) That was a test that UDI did a short while ago. Forgetting and discovering is the fix, as you've found. Not to worry BTW, if you scroll down, then you can forget all devices at once. Edited January 5, 2017 by stusviews Quote
Tim McDermott Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 I, too have noticed a bunch of oddly named devices in my lineup. I also deleted them and they have not yet returned. I had thought at first that they were misinterpretations of verbal commands, but upon further consideration, I realized that shouldn't have created additional devices. I, too would be interested in knowing where they came from and how to prevent them from recurring. Quote
n8huntsman Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 Ok, thanks. I feel better now. As to my first issue, I know this is the wrong forum but since Ive got your attention, I noticed that a lot of my devices are suddenly show "On Level (Applied Locally)" set to 0. I changed them to 100 but it only retained that setting for a few. The others reverted to 0. Does this sound like it could be a failing PLM? Should I make this it's own thread? Thanks Quote
