James Peterson Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 New release pushed to public. This update included a new Room control. It integrates the ISY folders into a room system on Agave. You can use the Rooms/Folders however you like. Included in this is the ability to add and remove devices and scenes from these rooms. I have tried to integrate these direct ISY admin controls cleanly into the interface so as not to distract from the general app focus. Along with the rooms addition I have fixed a few issues with node discovery and mapping when it comes to multiple ISYs and any other bugs that popped up since the last update. Thank you to everyone that helped out this winter. Please post any bugs or issues that you notice. Update: patch 1.6.553 - fixes startup crash and added room name sort order. Update: patch 1.6.555 - fixes program top level folder issue. Update: patch 1.6.563 - bug fixes. Update: patch 1.6.566 - bux fix for smokebridge
Jimbo.Automates Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Nice! Would be even nicer if the rooms were sorted:-) Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
bobchap Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Great update. It allowed me to add a KPL I couldn't add before. Thanks much. Sent from my SM-G930U using Tapatalk
gweempose Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 First of all, thank you so much for adding the rooms feature, James! I know you were originally a bit hesitant to go this route, but I think it's safe to say that many of us really appreciate it. That being said, I've noticed a few quirks. For starters, there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason as to how thing are listed within the room. I'd like to see everything listed alphabetically like it is in the ISY. It would also be great if we could drag and drop devices into any order we want. I've also noticed that some of my devices aren't showing up in the room view. I've tried refreshing the data, but it didn't help. My last issue isn't strictly related to rooms, but it does manifest itself in the room view. I have a lot of devices with names such as Backsplash Lights #1, Backsplash Lights #2, etc ... When viewing these devices in a list on Agave, they all show up as simply "Backsplash Lights". I have to click on the device in order to know specifically which one it is. It would be much more convenient if the # designation wasn't truncated.

Well you have run into the main reason I was reluctant. Not all devices are going to show up. Unless the device is a primary node it will not show up in the list. I will update the app to sort the room devices alphabetically. I didn't think I was truncating any longer but I will look into it. p.s. thanks the information.
gweempose Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Well you have run into the main reason I was reluctant. Not all devices are going to show up. That's a bummer. Is there a workaround for this? All my devices show up properly when viewing folders in MobiLinc?
James Peterson Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 That's a bummer. Is there a workaround for this? All my devices show up properly when viewing folders in MobiLinc? Ya. I understand this. but ML has no weight on what I do. I built agave because I did not like how devices were displayed in ML. See attached screenshot. (ML and Agave showing the exact same sensors) Allowing everything to show up would negate the very reason I built it. I understand your wish, but I can not grant this one.
G W Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 This update is very well done. I appreciate you pushing the edge on mobile devices.

So it sounds you are fundamentally grabbing the data in a different way than ML that doesn't allow you to show the folders as they appear in the ISY. This enables you to display devices in a way that you prefer, but it comes at a cost. Is this correct?

They are not formulated in the same way that Insteon devices are and can be troublesome. It is slower because of this, which is why I am so prompt at responding and pushing updates quickly.
