Select Add\Include a Z-Wave Device No popup

Featured Replies

When I select Add\Include a Z-Wave Device I don' get the popup  indicating it is listening.  This happened after selecting Stop Adding or Removing Z-Wave Device from the Advanced menu.  I have waited hours, rebooted the PC, Restarted the ISY994.  Opening the event viewer does show "Z-Wave device detected, retrieving info 7"  but it never changes.

Selecting Remove\Exclude does generate a popup window but not the Add\Include.

I have successfully added devices up to this point.  How do I return it to normal?

Thanks

Jeff

Did you try Heal Z-wave network and/or the other Z-Wave repair options?

I have tried the Heal function.  Previously when healing I would get a popup eventually saying the heal was complete.  Now I do not get that confirmation either.

I tried the Repair Links& Synchronize Nodes also but they have not helped.

I think the only other thing to try is the Factory Reset ZWave Dongle but I hate to resort to that because I assume I will have to re add all my devices again.  I do have an ISY backup I created a few days ago.  Is that worth a shot and could I restore that after the ZWave factory reset instead of re adding everything?

You could certainly try. My understanding is that the ISY backup includes Z-wave. I tried to learn about the separate Z-wave backup (you could try that, too), but no one knows for sure. See: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/21357-where-is-the-z-wave-backup/
