asbril Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 I need help !!!! I just bought a Ecolink Motion Sensor and successfully included it in my ISY994 5.09. It shows as : ZW 110 Motion Sensor ZW 110 Notify Sensor Zw 110 Power Management How do I create a program so that if the Motion Sensor senses motion, Light X switches on for 1 minute ? Thanks !!!!
andyf0 Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 First you need to discover if the ISY actually sees any notifications from the sensor and which node reports it. There seem to be more and more Z-Wave devices out there that include fine, but the ISY doesn't recognize their reporting types.

Thanks Andy, how do I see whether or not ISY receives these notifications ?
andyf0 Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Go to the main page in admin console and see if the state of the sensor changes when you generate motion. You can open Event Viewer and see if the ISY receives traffic but that doesn't mean the ISY understands it, you need to check if the status of the sensor changes.

The Motion sensor works and light X goes ON . This sensor, by default, re-identifies motion after 4 minutes, which means that light X stays on for 4 minutes. That is fine, though I want to see how I can tweak ISY to make it shorter or longer.
glacier991 Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Generally the on time is adjustable in the device itself, usually via a change in a parameter. You could also program something in the "program" section. Do a condition "if ZW 110 is ON" then "set Light XYZ ON, wait 2 minutes (or your preference) set Light XYZ off. Not sure if it will refire if the sensor status remains on at that point, you may need to do some work around in that regard. best bet is find out how to set the on time via parameter change.
IVB Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Which motion sensor did you get? I'm looking at these, wondering if it's the same. https://www.amazon.com/Z-wave-Install-Immunity-Detector-PIRZWAVE2-5-ECO/dp/B01MQXXG0I/ref=dp_ob_title_ce If not, i'll get whatever you got, as I want to ensure it'll work with the ISY.

Not sure what asbril has but I have a couple of the Ecolink PIR-ZWAVE2 motion sensors and they work great with ISY. The version 2.5 you linked to is an updated Z-Wave Plus version, which I haven't yet tested.

Bill Morrow Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Hi, I'm looking to replace my outdoor wired motion sensors with some wireless motion sensors, as I have to have some work done on the house, which means all of the existing wiring needs to be redone. The Ecolink Z-wave look like they are decent quality compared to the Insteon sensors. Just wondering if you're happy with the wireless range and if you can turn the pet immunity off? Thanks
