Logging into Admin Console

Recommended Posts

I have been having a problem for a while now that drive me crazy. My desktop computer is a mac Mini running macOS Sierra, version 10.12.4. When I originally installed the Admin console it added an icon to my desktop. when I double clicked it everything worked as it should. Somewhere along the way, I don't know if it was an OS update of a new version of the ISY software, I started having problems. I was able to get a fix for this problem, adding another entry into the ISY Finder using a url of https. Unfortunately I could not remove the http entry so I would always have to double click on the https entry of get the admin console to start. Event though it was two steps, it worked fine. Sometime last year double clicking on the https entry would only work sporadically. Most of the time it doesn't work. I can still access the console by entering the ip address of the ISY into my browser but this is now a three step process. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hello hthomson48,

With kind regards,

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I have tried your suggestion several times and it does not correct the problem. When I click on the icon the ISY Finder is displayed as it should but when I double click on the https entry, 9 time out of 10 it does not open the admin console. I have made sure that I have the most current version of Java and empty the cache and internet files per the instructions before installing the new version. on those occasions where the admin console does open, everything works just fine.

In Windows when I clear the cache, I always have to add the third option to clear out java applets etc.. also.

I am not familiar with Apple things.
