Is Portal Up? Cannot Connect!

Hi all,

 

Not sure what is going on today.

 

But ISYPortal is unable to connect to my ISY

 

I have never had a problem in over a year.

 

My ISY admin console is saying there is a problem with pool.ntp org.

 

My ISY Portal is saying that there is a problem and I need to go some place different.

 

Before I go and change everything to find out where the problem is can some tell me if every thing is working now ,

If your ISY can't reach pool.ntp.org, then it sounds like your ISY doesn't have Internet access (or can't resolve DNS), hence why the portal isn't working. I'd probably give your router, then your ISY a reboot and see if that resolves your issue.

To help you troubleshoot the issue, the portal doesn't connect to the ISY -- it's the other way around.  The ISY reaches out to contact the portal.  Combining that with the fact that it cannot connect to the NTP server, the logical conclusion is that it's your ISY or your router that's the issue.  Reboot both (router first) -- that would be a logical next step.
