ArunGupta2014 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 If I keep the ISY994 Z-Wave hub and SmartThings Z-Wave hub next to each other, would it cause any issues like Z-Wave signals fighting with each other? Thanks, Arun
stusviews Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 The only dificulty you may experiences is when you change which if the primary controller.
ArunGupta2014 Posted October 9, 2017 Author Posted October 9, 2017 I don't think there is a way to change which is the primary controller. Once the SmartThings hub is added to the ISY Z-wave network, the option to choose secondary controller disappears from the ISY admin console Z-Wave menu. In the past, I tried to remove the SmartThings hub and found that after removing the hub, I could not add any Z-Wave device to ISY. I opened a support ticket and Michel told me that the ISY Z-Wave card had "lost its home ID". My only option was to remove all Z-Wave devices from ISY, reset the ISY Z-Wave to factory default and re-add the devices. Major pain.
