shergenr Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Recently left town and since I haven't gotten all my Insteon switches installed, I have reverted to installing 3 of the rotary analog timer switches. Since installing, I have had some issues with my insteon micro switches to not turn on as programmed. Do those little timer switches absorb signal or throw noise on the line? The rotary timers that plug into a recepticles and you plug a lamp into them.....
stusviews Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I'm not aware of any non-HA plug-in timer that can interfere with Insteon communication, but the load being controlled can. What are you controlling with the timers? An easy test is to unplug the timers and observe the result.

oberkc Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I am sure that the timers do not purposely broadcast signals to the powerline, but I see no reason why such timers could simply be putting out some noise or other type of interference. Stranger things have happened.
stusviews Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 What kind of lamps? What kind of lights? Incandescent? CFL? LED? Something else?
