Posted December 27, 20177 yr I continue to watch these guys https://www.initialstate.com/ It would be great to see correlation of ISY events, GEM power usage etc, what is great is they are free for 24 hours of data, 25k events a month. Maybe i am delusional - i haven't acually done the calculation of how many events my ISY and gem generate, obvioulsy if it is more than 25k a mo that idea of mine is bogus... I contine to look for something that can replace SEG... i know initial state can ingest data in lots of ways: http://support.initialstate.com/knowledgebase/topics/87663-getting-started Next up for me is to relook at emoncms now the uploads are working again for me --edit i just did the math and realized i am a dumbass, 25k events is nothing-- oh well Edited December 27, 20177 yr by Scyto
December 27, 20177 yr I’ve been ingesting my firewall (pfSense), Brultech GEM (32 power channels, 4 1-wire temp probes), 6 CAO tags, Weatherflow AIR, 3 ISYs (one hooked to my ComEd power meter) into an ELK instance running on a Protecli device I had retired from pfSense duty. Currently running at 8.2 million messages per month... and it’s entirely local... Edited December 27, 20177 yr by MWareman
December 28, 20177 yr Author I’ve been ingesting my firewall (pfSense), Brultech GEM (32 power channels, 4 1-wire temp probes), 6 CAO tags, Weatherflow AIR, 3 ISYs (one hooked to my ComEd power meter) into an ELK instance running on a Protecli device I had retired from pfSense duty. Currently running at 8.2 million messages per month... and it’s entirely local... sounds cool, i am looking for a solution that doesn't require scripting or massive amounts of command line, drag and drop designer and controls for graphing etc. This is why i have stuck with SEG despite the insane cost.
