beninsteon Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Hi, Has anyone noticed that only the first spoken appears in the Google Home list? I'm not seeing alternative spokens appear. Happy New Year, Ben Quote
bmercier Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 This is normal. Google Home devices can have nicknames, so the alternate spokens are the devices nicknames. You can turn on/off devices using their nicknames. Benoit Quote
beninsteon Posted January 1, 2018 Author Posted January 1, 2018 Great! Thanks Benoit. Have you figured out a way to override Google's reserved words like "everything"? Ben Quote
asbril Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I don't think it will be possible. Something, somehow, may be possible through using the shortcut option in the Google App. Quote

beninsteon Posted January 7, 2018 Author Posted January 7, 2018 Something, somehow, may be possible through using the shortcut option in the Google App. You are right! User defined shortcuts now override any Google predefined reserved words. This is a new feature as just a few days ago Google support said this was not possible. Thanks for the excellent suggestion! 2 Quote
