PeterHart Posted February 4, 2018 Share Posted February 4, 2018 I have a stairway light with a togglelinc dimmer. I use a motion sensor linked to it to turn on the stair light. I am trying to use the turning on of that light to turn on another lamp. Whenever the motion sensor turns on the togglelinc to turn on the stairway light the lamp does not come on and the current status of the togglelinc shows as off in both the ISY console and in MobiLinc. If I turn on the stairway light either by physically operating the switch or via MobiLinc the lamp comes on. I am perplexed why changes in the status of the switch linked to the motion sensor does not show in the isy. I will appreciate any insight into this mystery. stusviews Posted February 4, 2018 Share Posted February 4, 2018 A device does not turn on its links when remotely controlled by another device. To do do can result in an infinite loop. Add both the stairway light and the other lamp as responders to the scene that has the motion sensor as a controller. Link to comment
