Programmatically Set Device Options

I'm new to Insteon/ISY (just got my ISY994i and Insteon outlet a couple days ago). I'm wondering if it's possible to set options for a device through an ISY program. Specifically, I would like to have the LED status indicator lights on the Insteon outlet turn off at night, and turn back on during the day.

Which outlet?  (I have three different versions, a dimmer, one controlled outlet, and two controlled outlet.)

Out of curiosity, I checked the manual for the two-controlled outlet (2663-222) and it appears that the LED light level IS controllable.  I also notice that this level is settable from ISY under the device options.

I checked program actions and it appears also that the "backlight" level is adjustable for this type of outletlinc. I am not sure that "backlight" is the LED indicator, but I don't know what else it would be.  So, short of actual confirmation by testing, I would say the answer is yes.

My suggestion is to install your devices and try it out.  I would bet money that you will be able to do what you want.  If you need some assistance with setting up a quick program to try it out, let us know.

It's the 2663-222 outlet. You're right, the backlight does work. I was looking at the LED and LED brightness under Options, and didn't even pay attention to the brightness control.

Yup, that's working perfectly. I don't see a way to check the option or "backlight" level  as an If condition, but that's not completely necessary for what I'm trying to accomplish.

Neither did I see such an option as a "condition".
