Gaetan Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I bought a ISY994i ZW/IR PRO + PLM from Smarthome two weeks ago and connected it for the first time tonight. No Joy A few seconds after I power-up the ISY, the red light start blinking. The Micro SD card from the ISY can be read from Windows and the directory tree is as follow: ├───CODE ├───CONF │ ├───BILLING │ ├───D2D │ ├───MAIL │ ├───NET │ ├───OADR │ └───SEP ├───LOG ├───TMP ├───USER │ └───WEB └───WEB I pulled and re-inserted the micro SD card a few times and I always get the same result. I FAT32 formatted a brand new Samsung 32GB and copied the content of the original ISY SD card to the new SD card and rebooted the ISY994i. Still a red blinking light. What do you recommend I do next?

Gaetan Posted April 18, 2018 Author Posted April 18, 2018 Thank you for the additional information. I performed these additional actions: Formatted a new 4GB Micro SD card and copied the original ISY Micro SD card content to the new Micro SD card. Powered up the ISY .... blinking Error led. Downloaded insteon_4.6.2.zip and extracted to the new Micro SD card after I reformatted it once more. Powered up the ISY .... blinking Error led. Through an exchange with Michel from UDI, he confirmed that the ISY994i is defective. I will be asking for a replacement from where I bought it (Smarthome). Gaetan.
MWareman Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Copying the original data may be copying corruption.Normally, you boot ISY with a blank card and it will rewrite its file system. Once written you use the admin console to restore a backup - or reconfigure from scratch.
