jcrack_corn Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 My ISY worked fine for about a year, then a few months ago started turning lights on randomly. Sometimes it would occur soon after turning off a light manually (turn itself back on several minutes later), sometimes completely random, wake up and have 3 lights on. I unplugged it for a few months, then recently had time to try to trouble shoot, i updated its software, and it seems to be a *little* better, but still getting random on's and still get it turning lights back on soon after i turn them on. There is also an ELK involved, but that seems to be functioning fine. Anybody seen this (and i do not believe it is any of the insteon devices as they all work properly when the ISY is unplugged). Thanks!

Thanks! Yes, I had some of those problems. I had to factory reset the devices that were "magically" turning on to make the problem go away. It was the only way I found to fix it.
jcrack_corn Posted April 26, 2009 Author Posted April 26, 2009 how long did the reset work for? forever?

Do you know which firmware you are running on your Elk? Please see this thread: http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... sc&start=0
jcrack_corn Posted April 26, 2009 Author Posted April 26, 2009 was running 5.1.8....just went to 5.1.14, should do the trick per the other thread, thanks!
