Google Home/Assistant Update!

Hi Folks,

I wanted to let you know that we've launched a new action with Google Assistant and Google Home today called MobiLinc Connect. This replaces the old/original "MobiLinc" action.

We've been working with Google for the last few months to streamline, upgrade, and refine the MobiLinc action with Google Assistant for some upcoming new Google Assistant features launching this fall. We're proud to be included as one of Google's premier partners and first to support these new features. 

MobiLinc Connect and Google Assistant Features

This update supports the following:

• Adds support for Scenes, Thermostats, and FanLinc (fan) devices.
• Real-time ISY device and program status are sent to Google so you can ask Google if a light is on or what temperature it is.
• Supports automatically updating Google with your device list as you set "spoken" names in the Admin Console. You can also say "Ok, Google, sync my devices."
• Supports new hardware from Google launching fall 2018.
• Support for ISY firmware 5.x and nodes.

What you need to do

Due to the scope of changes and items outside of our control, this new Action is a brand new Action called "MobiLinc Connect." Please open your Google Home app and unlink the old MobiLinc action and link the new MobiLinc Connect action. The old MobiLinc action is no longer in service and will be removed soon.

Setup Guide

To add your devices, scenes, and programs to Google Assistant please follow these steps:

1. Open the Admin Console and assign Spoken names to your devices and scenes.
2. Create a "Voice" folder under Programs for just your Voice enabled programs and click save. Programs outside of the "Voice" folder will not be synced with Google Assistant. Folders inside of the "Voice" folder will not be synced with Google Assistant.
3. After saving your programs, watch the front of your ISY and wait until the blinking activity has stopped and then wait 5 minutes.
4. New or changed Spoken names will auto-sync back to Google Assistant during this timeframe. You can also say "Ok, Google, sync my devices." You may see old spoken names in your device list in Google Assistant. These should eventually clear out as Google processes the updates. If not, please unlink MobiLinc Connect and re-link to Google Assistant in the Google Home app.

Note: When changing or adding spoken names to devices and scenes you must click "save" on the Programs tab to sync these spoken names back to MobiLinc Connect and Google.
