With the release of Android Pie this is becoming quite troublesome. I think I am just going to remove this feature from Agave. This has always been a battery hog and problematic to say the least with the lastest versions of Android. I will instead be put time into working on a more efficient way of keeping the app up yo date that can be used on both Android and iOS platforms. I am sorry for any inconveniences this may cause anyone.
