Posted January 27, 20196 yr Anyone know if there is a way to turn off the LED for the GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Smart Fan Control? This one (paddle fan control): https://www.amazon.com/GE12722-Z-Wave-Wireless-Lighting-Control/dp/B06XTKQTTV/?th=1 I don't see a way to do this in the admin console, although apparently controllers from other manufacturers allow you to do this. Thank you.

January 28, 20196 yr Author Thank you. I have tried this several times on two different switches (we have 3) and this does not work. Or at least I could not get it to work. That's why I was looking for a software solution.
January 28, 20196 yr Author I tried this again, it does not work. I think it might be because I'm using a fan controller and not a light controller? Anyone know how I can turn off the LED on a fan controller? I'm about to buy some white electrical tape and tape over the LED. We use Alexa to control our fans, or we can just look at the fan to determine the speed. We don't need an LED. And it's too bright at night. My daughter even complains about it.
January 28, 20196 yr When they say quickly, they mean quickly. I tried a few times with no success; then pressed down as quick as I could after the last up (also did the ups pretty quick). That made a difference on mine. I just purchased mine, it's possible I have a newer model? [14287 Z-wave +]
February 9, 20196 yr Author It did work! You have to press really quickly. That's the trick. I was pressing fast, but not fast enough.
