Featured Replies

Anyone know if there is a way to turn off the LED for the GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Smart Fan Control?
This one (paddle fan control):

I don't see a way to do this in the admin console, although apparently controllers from other manufacturers allow you to do this.
Thank you.

Disable / Enable LED
1. Press UP three(3) times then quickly press and release DOWN one(1) time.
2. Repeat to disable/enable LED.

Thank you.  I have tried this several times on two different switches (we have 3) and this does not work. Or at least I could not get it to work.  That's why I was looking for a software solution.

I tried this again, it does not work. I think it might be because I'm using a fan controller and not a light controller?

Anyone know how I can turn off the LED on a fan controller?

I'm about to buy some white electrical tape and tape over the LED.  We use Alexa to control our fans, or we can just look at the fan to determine the speed.  We don't need an LED.  And it's too bright at night.  My daughter even complains about it.

When they say quickly, they mean quickly.

I tried a few times with no success; then pressed down as quick as I could after the last up (also did the ups pretty quick).  That made a difference on mine.

I just purchased mine, it's possible I have a newer model?  [14287 Z-wave +]

It did work!  You have to press really quickly.  That's the trick.  I was pressing fast, but not fast enough.
