Compared to Alexa, it appears we GH users are a 'select' group!  But I'm adding this post to see if any other GH users are or have experienced this error message.

For me, I was only able to add 19-23 devices in my ISY Portal account before the uplink to my GH failed. Instead of any devices being uploaded, all I received was an error message (see title).  I had some tech help from U-D and a couple of Google Home forum chat sessions.  What I concluded from these communications is this may be a GH problem.  I was told GH designers are aware of this issue and are working on a fix.

I hope this fix comes soon because I think any user would find this unacceptable.

Aside from that, I can tell a difference in the AI between GH & Alexa.  GH wins!  But they need to fix this!  Just sayin...

UPDATE: I don't think this may be related to the "cause" for the connection errors I am experiencing, but I am using a DSL provider (CenturyLink). I wonder if this issue effects cable/cellar users as well?

A second possible issue may be the use of scenes (which should be an option).  However, I just read in another post that GH/ISY Portal do not handle scenes the way I they should. Therefore, it may be best NOT to unplink scenes.

My GH upload from ISY portal always indicates failed, (no permission) since after the first few months of creation.  GH support has told me several times they have never heard of ISY. See the ISY administrator.

It aways get the data though, regardless. I upload about 40-50 devices.

That's a different issue and has been discussed with Benoit, must unlink and relink and should not happen again if you have at least one device that send an update once a day or so. (If I remember correctly) mine currently has that issue and I'm afraid to relink and loose my rooms. I just ask Google to sync my devices.

After more than a dozen deleting and recreating  ISY account linking. syncing and unsyncing, over a year of trying, I finally  gave up and haven't used GH for many months until trying again, this week. Last time I even deleted my google account and started a new one. No help here, or there, has resolved this reported error.

Getting the permission error doesn't seem to affect the operation AFAICT.

Thanks

Sorry to hear this.  I was thinking about moving back to ISY Portal from Mobilinc connect. Wanted to be able to define icons and store room info. However, my Google Home has been more or less rock solid since before Christmas except for a couple of short network outages that last only a few minutes.  Need to rethink this move.

I have found google support to be very good. Find it easy to get chat support and if the problem persists they will call you.  Spent several hours on phone to support in Malaysia in the fall sorting out an issue with google home hub. They even seemed to fix a software issue that I reported overnight.
