Blackbird
I setup a username and password in ELKRP M1xep Setup and clicked send. Then it rebooted my system and when I logged back into ELKRP the yellow bar at the bottom came up showing that there was a change to XEP Setup so I checked it and clicked "Send checked items to system" then asked to reboot again. When I go to M1togo it is not secured so I go to the settings and make it secured and this is what pops up "Could not authenticate SSL Connection! Check your profiles setting". Am I missing a step here? Thanks
giesen
Secure login from ISY to Elk hasn't worked in years. Presumably they are both on the same LAN so your credentials are not sent in clear text over the Internet. Not perfect but could be worse. There's a long story behind the whole thing, but basically a while back Elk changed the authentication mechanism and UDI didn't want to rewrite their SSL stack to make it work. If you want more details you can try searching for threads on this forum (though they may be archived at this point).Sent from my SM-N9500 using Tapatalk
MWareman
The issue is the authentication that Elk uses is proprietary to them (rather than a more usual basic over TLS approach). This renders most third party clients unable to authenticate.
Blackbird
I'm just talking about the secure login on elkrp.
