Posted April 11, 20196 yr I have a 20P panel but a very simple setup with only 2 doors and a motion sensor connected. Few weeks ago one of the doors stopped chiming and their was a fault for that door on the keypad. Determined it was the door contact that would work sometimes and other times magnet would not close the switch. Decided to order new contact swith and installed. Now what happens is when magnet close, it reads fault but when separated, it reads ready to arm. Took contact off and with wires left un connected, it shows ready to arm. When you wrap wires from panel together it shows a fault. The contact I purchased is supposed to be closed when in close proximity to magnet and open when they are apart. What is going on?? Could there be a problem with one of the 2000 ELOR ohm resistors? Or a bad wire? Thanks for any help. Billy
