Great work but I would also caution any automatic actions by a garage door. Even with the sensor beam. I know closing or opening the door with my car's hatch up can result in really bad things happening. I also had a box get caught up on a side shelf that had it gone unnoticed it would have caused significant damage.

 

Still great work on the concept :)
