ISY No Longer Available on Network

Long time user- not sure where I put this post...

MY ISY device has disappeared from my network and the portal. The automated routines are also no longer working.

I unplugged it, waited and then plugged it in. I downloaded the ISY Launcher but it does not see the ISY. The ISY lights show that it is powered on and I see an occasional tx/rx light, light up. The portal shows it as unavailable.

Is there a way to reset it without losing all of my setups?

Other info- I'm using a Mac, the portal shows it on 4.4.6. My java is up to date.

Is it possible that it's been hacked? Any other suggestions?

1.  Check your router and see if it's listed... probably is.

2. Do you run any Virtual Machine software on your Mac?  If you do the virtual network drivers are probably messing up the discovery that the java client uses causing it to not find anything.  Disable the virtual network interfaces from the VM software.

First check the connections, ie, network cable from ISY to network switch or router or wherever you have it going.  Maybe something became disconnected.  Did you back up your configuration?  If so, you can reset and then restore.  If connections are OK it sounds like something happened in your network (eg, IP address for ISY changed).  As mentioned, go into your router and see what equipment is shown as being connected and having IP addresses.  Your ISY, since you are seeing Rx/Tx activity to your PLM  indicating it’s not dead, is probably on the network just with a different IP than you’d been using.  When you get the IP, see if you can ping it, then go from there.  I’d advise giving your ISY a static IP.

What's odd is that the ISY Portal states that the ISY if offline.  Although I switched to Google Wifi this spring and that may be the reason I can't see it locally. But I would still expect it to show up in the portal.

I assume that I would use the ISY Launcher and then Add the IP address (assuming I can find it)? What is the format for the Add function?

Thx.

I am having the same trouble!  I just replaced my router.   Starting the router configuration cleanly.  When I plug the ethernet cable into the router, it does not light up.  Same ethernet cable into another device and it works fine.  The ISY does not seem to be communicating with the router.  Network map on the router doesn't show the ISY is connected.  I tried unplugging PLM and just powering up ISY to router, but still no lights on the router port, and doesn't show up on the network map.  Anything else I can try?  Does this mean the ISY needs to be replaced?

Just found another thread with similar issue with the solution being a new power supply.  I pulled one off my qnap drive (12V 3.0 Amp) and it works fine!!!  Now just need to find a new powersupply for my qnap!
