Please help and explain

I have read the manual and looked at the pictures for the tabs in the Universal Devices Administrative Console and I can't find an answer to this.

On the Tab for Program Summary it has a Status column and I have two programs and the first says false and the second line says true.

My guess is that true means that the program worked the last time it was run but I’m not sure. If it says false does that mean the program is wrong or does it simply mean the program didn’t process correctly?

I had a problem with my first two programs, one program is outside lights on and the other is outside lights off. The two programs turn on several switches that activate CFL bulbs outside the house. The lights turn on/off from the console just fine but the program which is set to turn on at sunset and off at 11:10PM seem to not turn all the lights on all of the time. I have since added duplicate lines for each light on and off command and at least last night it worked and this morning both programs show true. Was it a good idea to add a second duplicate command line? The switches for the CFL bulbs are relay switches and have no dimming.

Another question I have is the remote linc. Is it the remote linc that maintains the information as to what it controls? When I set it up I followed the directions and then last night I used the all off command and one light didn’t go off. I believe it’s because I didn’t program that light into the remote linc but I’m just not sure. In the x10 world it was easy to understand because the all-off command turned everything off on a house code.

Thanks,

John

It is explained in the ISY99 Users Guide recently released. Page 42

The Status is of an IF condition in the program. Currently True or False.

The RemoteLinc's I have in use. Have all the devices they control in their Link Tables. My ISY99i also knows the links to each button. As I used it to add and subtract device from the individual buttons. When I use the All On or All Off button. All the devices from the individual buttons follow.

If the device that did not go off was not in the RemoteLincs Link Table. It will not go off.

I believe that a Group Command is used for Scenes and a Direct Command to individual modules from the console.

You may have a communications problem and the duplicate line gives you a better shot on the message getting there. Have you tried a Scene Test for the problem scenes? Maybe the Event Viewer in level 3 may also show some useful data for the problem area.

Are there any X10 commands mixed into the scenes in question? I know I added two second waits in my mixed scenes. To allow my XTB-IIR Repeater coupler to send X10 and not step on Insteon Commands.

It might be more precise to think of program status this way: The status simply reflects whether the program last ran its THEN part (status True) or ELSE part (status False).

There are more details about how and when THEN and ELSE parts are run in the referenced user manual.
