abartello Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Having a problem where my 2476S switch indicators turn off when sent a remote command to turn the switch off from the ISY, and while the LED indicator shows the switch to be off, the light is still on. Have to go over and manually hit the off paddle to turn the light off. Has any else expereinced this? it happens with about 4 switches in my house. Any help on this would be appreciated. Tony
MikeB Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Hi Tony - It sounds like these switches do not have the loads attached to them, but are linked to devices that control the load. Is this the case? If so, when controlling the light from the ISY, you must control the entire scenes - not the individual switches.
abartello Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 Mike - I wish it were that easy. No, these are Master switches (load connected) that are seeing the problem. I control multi-switch circuits by scenes with the ISY. Tony
MikeB Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Wow, that's a strange one. Anything else linked to these switches besides the ISY?
abartello Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 No other controller in the house. These masters, however, are linked to other slave insteon switches (also 2476D). That's the only thing they are linked to. Tony
MikeB Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I'm curious what happens if you create a scene with one of these problem devices as a responder, and another device as a controller. Can the device be successfully controlled from another controller? If you control the scene from the ISY, does the device respond as expected?
