I know.  This should be as basic as it gets.

I have all kinds of insteon lights, smoke bridges, cameras etc...

I bought a 2843-222 Open/close sensor and I can't get the ISY to recognize it.

I know the part number but their is no ID sticker on the device.  I

Is that normal for this device?  do I really need it?

Frustrated after 2 hours of trying to get ISY to find it...

Any help appreciated!

    Did you look in the battery compartment? I believe the information is on a sticker inside the unit.

    Are you using the Link Sensor choice in the Link Management drop down?

    Maybe the Start Linking method if all else failed.
