Posted April 7, 20205 yr Has anyone even tried to use the "heartbeat" function on the First Alert z-wave smoke detectors? I see a device called "Z004 Heartbeat", but when I create a program to increment a variable based on it, the device doesn't show up in the program page device drop down. It seams like one of the more interesting things you could do with this device is create an alert if the heartbeat stops. I can see the other sub-devices, but the only one I can really manually stimulate is "test alarm", and I can write a program to change a variable based on it.
April 8, 20205 yr You will see heartbeat under control, not status. I'm only checking for low battery condition, haven't tried to monitor heartbeat.
