Toddvg Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 We are installing a new pool this summer and was wanting to automate. Looking for advice from my fellow users and our UD staff of products that have worked great for others 1- Gate Lock 2- Water motion alarm 3- Outside motion 4-Camera 5- Water Tests 6- Pump & Filtration Any help would be great.
marcin Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 For water monitor I'm using pHin, (https://www.phin.co/). It works great, saves time and hassle of testing water in the pool store. For the pool gate I have electronic latch connected to Elk alarm with the access control. In addition I have Pool Patrol Alarm connected to Elk as well. As far as filtration runs on timer, but Im pretty sure you can connect it some sort of smart relay or outlet.
Goose66 Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 In the context of the ISY ecosystem, I'm a big fan of having dedicated equipment for a system as complex as a pool, with the ISY playing a monitoring and high-level control role. I have a Jandy Aqualink RS that controls the pool, spa, spillover, lights, robotic cleaner, heater, freeze-protect, chemicals, etc. The ISY can monitor the system for problems as well as control modes and lights for large context control. For example, with the push of a KeypadLinc key (or a command to Alexa) I can put the system in spa mode, engage the heater, set the setpoint based on outdoor temperature, adjust the backyard lighting based on time of day, and then turn on the spa light when the spa reaches a minimum useable temperature so I don't run out in the backyard naked only to find the spa is too cold to get it. 2
