disabling writes to Z-wave devices?

Featured Replies

If I disable automatic writes to my battery powered devices using the enable/disable battery powered device writes button at the top of the ISY console, does it also disable writes to the battery powered Z-Wave devices like a Schlage lock, or does it only disable writes to battery powered Insteon devices?  Specifically, I send a parameter change to my Schalge locks twice a day and I want to make sure that the program still works if I disable (unselect) the automatic writes option.

You are correct, this only applies to Insteon devices, the button is ignored for Z-Wave.  For battery powered devices in Z-Wave that go to sleep (unlike door locks that support beaming), we always write any pending changes to them when they wake up.

I have 2 Zooz devices (ZWave) that have the green icon, indicating that a write-to-device is pending, but write-to-device does nothing, as is shown in Event Viewer.
