M1EXP will not communicate with ISY

I have an Elk M1 Gold with M1EXP and Insteon Lighting w/ISY 99. The Elk will not control any of the Insteon. I believe the problem may lie in the fact that the M1EXP was unable to be found automatically with the RP software. I have assigned a static IP and have been able to connect and program over network via RP software but cannot get the Elk to control lighting. The lighting file has been imported.

After further investigation the elk is not causing an lights on the PLM or ISY when sending lighting commands. The M1 Software is version 4.5.20, ELKRP is 1.6.26, and M1EXP is 1.2.14.

After further investigation I have found that I can connect via telnet to the elk on the non secure port but I cannot connect to the ISY on the non secure port.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Hello livehomeinc,

Please ensure that your RP is not connected when you are testing ELK/ISY integration. When RP is connected, then nothing else can communicate with M1XEP.

On the configuration page, please do ensure to use port 2101 for your ELK port.

And, finally, if ISY is able to communicate with ELK, then the first thing is that at the top of Admin Console you will see the status of your ELK system. If you do not see this, then we have to figure out why ISY is not communicating with ELK.

As far as telneting to ISY, you should be able to do that as long as you have ISY's IP address (please do not include a port, ISY uses regular telnet port of 23).

With kind regards,

Michel
