LampLinc module cycles on and off

I have a LampLinc module in my system (20 plus devices) that has randomly started to cycle on and off.  It is not associated with any scenes other than my ISY-994.  (Note, I do have the ISY-994 as part of a HomeAssistant install but have confirmed that no HA commands are being sent to the device.  I use the standard ISY HomeAssistant integration).  I have performed a factory reset of the device, deleted it from the ISY and re-added it.  The cycling has continued.  Note, there are no other devices plugged into the outlet with this device.  There is a TV, SONOS device and a Wemo smart plug on the same circuit.  They were all there prior to noticing the problem.

The ISY log file for a cycling event is at the bottom of the post.  My question is this: 

Is this just a failed LampLinc device (it is 5-10 years old) or is there something else I should be looking at).  Note, it is the only device in my setup that is doing this.

Is it the older power line only 2456D or the newer 2457D dual band model?

If it is the older model 2456D2 or 2456D3.  I would think it maybe starting to fail. I had the On/Off model 2456S3 starting to pulse on and off at about a 1 second cycle. Was a bad capacitor in the unit.

I don't have much experience with the 2457D modules. It could be starting to get flaky.

It is the newer dual band 2457D2 Dual Band model.  I think you may be right.  I have been doing some testing and it seems like it may be heat related.  When I leave it unplugged for a while and then plug it back in it goes for several hours with no problems, then the blinking starts.  I was just hoping maybe there was something I was missing other than it starting to fail.  As I said in the post, it have had it for a few years, so it has worked well for quite some time, but it is still disappointing that it is failing.

The FCC internal photos of a 2475D2. Show it has a switching power supply.

Not too clear what type electrolytic capacitors are in it. So not immediately clear if they are rated for a switching supply. Like the 2413S PLM issue we have seen. I may pop one open and give it a look.

One symptom on the 2413S was worked for awhile then stopped. Powering it down and let it cool off. It would again work for awhile.

The electrolytics are notoriously bad in these devices, however from your log my thinking/guess is a signal decoding issue (this includes RF and power line signals). The decoder decoupling circuitry is as bad as the power supply caps. My devices typically start to fail in the decoder section (missed turn-On/Off commands, flaky operation, other devices fail due to no repeating, etc.). If power supply (such as it is) is failing, it could be injecting noise into the decoder which, since it is Gaussian/random noise, will undoubtedly cause false "decodes" of commands. Equally likely is that the decoupling cap in the discriminator circuit has started to leak causing false signals to be detected (same mechanism of noise).

After 5 - 10 years, I think you can expect failures in Insteon (and no doubt many other HA) devices.
