ISY994i Pairing with Somfy / Bali Z-wave Blinds

Every time i have to add Somfy / Bali Autoview Z-wave blinds it is a nightmare. This is as much a note to myself as to the community.

This describes how i've had success with the following:

  • ISY994i as a primary controller for the blinds
  • Remote its come with (two buttom) as a secondary controller

This means that both the ISY and the remote can control the blinds - great for power cuts!

  1. Reset the Remote - press and hold the programming button on the rear for 15s until it flashes red.

  2. Reset the blinds network settings - press and hold the programming button on the blind for 7s until it flashes amber. It will then job to confirm.
(DO NOT press for 15s and reset the motor controller - unless you want to reset the blinds limits, which is not fun!)

  3. Add the ISY as the primary controller of the blinds:
In the ISY control panel: Menu - Z-wave > Add a z-wave device
On the blinds: press and hold the programming button until it flashed green (about 3 seconds), then release.
    Blinds will jog to confirm.

  4. Add the remote as a controller to the ISY:
In the ISY control panel: Menu - Z-wave > Add a z-wave device
On the remote: press and hold program button on the remote control until the LED light flashes green (about 3 seconds), then release
    the button.

  5. Add the remote as a secondary controller to the blind:
On the remote: press and release the program button on the back side of the remote control once(1 tap). The LED will flash green.
On the blinds: press and hold the programming button until it flashed green (about 3 seconds), then release.
    Blinds will jog to confirm.

I also found that the batteries need to be good, and the ISY994i close to the shades.

I've attached the PDF of the manual as well.

Good luck!
