Socket timeout error

I'm on firmware 5.3.0 and have not had any issues until recently. When I make a change to any program from the admin console and try to save the changes, I get an error " Socket timeout error" and it does not save my changes. Furthermore, I tried to upgrade from 5.3.0 to 5.3.4 and I get the same error. Any ideas of how I can fix this?
