Leak Sensor won't wake up.

I have an Insteon Leak sensor that just stopped working. The Led works when I press the button but in the AC, there is no status. No "on" or no "off" I am not getting any missed heartbeats and I have tried to trip the sensor to see of the status would change. When I query it, nothing happens. 

Any way to bring it back to life?

 

It never got wet and it's not that old.

 

Open it up and change the battery. 

While you're at it, check contacts to make sure they are not corroded. 

When you buy this stuff, you just don't really know how long it has been sitting.  Good idea to check the build date too.

It miraculously started working again soon after I posted the message, but I'll keep you suggestions handy.

It's possible that the battery needs replacing
