ingeborgdot
I have an insteon switch, that won't change the on level. I have tried everything, but it's on level won't switch, from the 70% it is on right now, no matter what I do. I must be missing something. The other issue with this switch, is that if you dim it at the switch to say 35%, then from now on that switch goes to 35%, even if it is set at 70% or anything else. What can I do? drprm1
In UI when you change the on level are you also hitting the on level button? May try restoring the switch
MrBill
I'd try factory resetting the switch. You didn't give the model so I can't give the direction but you can google "Insteon XXXX manual" to find it. Be careful many people miss that on some models the button needs to be held in until the long beep stops and release only after the long beep finishes. Once the switch has been factory reset, click on it in the ISY device tree then right click and choose "Restore Device".
ingeborgdot
I press on the reset switch for over 30 seconds and nothing happens. It just beeps once, and never turns green, or anything like the other switches. I press on the paddle for 15 or more seconds, up or down, and nothing happens, other than turning on and off of the light. The light will turn on and off with the press of the paddle, but that is it. If I press the paddle, and let's say put the on level to 40% on the paddle, the next time I turn on the light, it goes to the 40%, and not what is set in the ISY. drprm1, I did get the level to change in the ISY. I had been forgetting to hit the on level button. duh

The factory reset behavior may be different than what older devices exhibits as Mrbill alluded to
