IP Address/UUID does not match sticker and portal add issue

Featured Replies

Started getting my new Polisy set up. The sticker on the bottom has an MAC address/UUID. However, looking at the DHCP map on my router shows a different MAC address. The last octet is not the same: 58 on the sticker, 88 associated with an IP address.

Using the IP address corresponding to the MAC address ending in 88, I can add it to the launcher and start up the Admin Console. Admin console shows the UUID ending in 88.

When I use the UUID ending in 88 portal and before trying to subscribe, a small error icon comes up next to the UUID saying it does not seem to be a valid UUID.

What am I doing wrong here?

@aseThank you! This seemed to work. However, still puzzled about the UUID difference.

May have just been a mistake. Each of Polisy's interfaces have a different mac. They may have just used the wrong one on the sticker.

You can use the ifconfig command in the shell and it will display each address. The one used for uuid should be ig0 but it is possible they put ig1's or ig2's on the sticker.

After learning how to use SSH, I issued the ifconfig and *none*of the ports had the address on the sticker. I performed a manual update to the sticker using the Tools>Sharpie process.
