bhihifi
I just migrated from the Insteon Hub to ISY on Polisy. One of the device settings in the Insteon application on iOS was to set a device to blink on Insteon traffic. I used it more for troubleshooting and the constant blinking of certain switches got annoying so its not something I will miss. Just wondering if anyone found any value in that setting. Now I can monitor traffic in the Admin Console so that is definitely a superior method.

After changing the check mark for a device i believe you also need to hit the write changes button.
bhihifi
@MrBill Thank you. The screen shot really helped. I did not see the whole screen because of the device tree sidebar. Scrolling to the right horizontally, I found the buttons you pointed to. Also when I searched the wiki and forums for "Blink on Insteon traffic" nothing came up. I don't know who maintains the wiki, but it might help to mention "LED on TX" is the UDI equivalent. The only place where "LED on TX" is mentioned in the wiki is under the I/O Linc setup page. I found no wiki entries about the Options button either.

What insteon calls stuff with their software/hub can and will be different when it comes to someone else's controller. UDI isn't going to buy someone else's product just to see what they call something. It's similar to how we speak in general. Depending on where you're located, you may call the highway a freeway or interstate. One additional note: insteon calls it led on tx in their own manuals and developers guide. bhihifi
@lilyoyo1I'm not complaining. Apology if it came off that way. I've never read the developers guide but good to know they use that terminology. I only have the little device manuals that come in the boxes. I'm not an expert. I follow your posts because you are and I appreciate your knowledge. I still think it would be good to document what the Options button does. Again, if it is documented, my bad. Where I grew up, water fountains are "bubblers" and carbonated drinks "pop." I managed to get a drink when I moved away.
