Zellarman Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I just installed a SL Relay today, and it was dead within a half hour. It switches a high hat and a mirror defroster (basically a heataing pad) so I guess it qualifies as a resistive load. Did I just get a bad SL Relay, or should I not be using it to switch this load?
Brian H Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 You may want to double check the connections on the chance one of them is poor. Did you try the Air Gap Switch to see if it was locked up? I would think that load would be fine.
oberkc Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 How much power does that heater consume? Is it possible that the power exceeds the capability of the switch link?
